Diamond of the Sea is a private estate set on more than an acre within Hapuna Estates at Mauna Kea Resort, one of the Big Island’s most coveted addresses. Designed for relaxed island living, the home pairs sweeping ocean views and carefully landscaped grounds with generous spaces made for gathering family and friends.

A reflection pond sets a tranquil tone at the entry. Beyond, the outdoor living areas open toward the ocean, where a covered lanai overlooks the spa and reverse-infinity pool. Baja shelf loungers invite you to cool off in the shallows, and a poolside gazebo offers a shaded setting for grilling and long, unhurried afternoons.

Inside, retractable glass walls connect the great room to the lanai, drawing in the ocean views and letting the home open naturally to the island climate. Those same views reach the primary suites, so the private spaces feel just as open. The chef’s kitchen is appointed with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances and generous workspace, whether you’re preparing a family breakfast or entertaining a crowd.

Each of the five private bedroom suites features a full en-suite bath, walk-in shower, and its own lanai. The primary suites — and the bath serving the secluded office suite — add outdoor garden showers, and the primary bath includes a deep soaking tub. Professionally designed interiors, quality linens, plush towels, and a well-stocked supply of everyday essentials make settling in effortless.

Your stay includes complimentary access to the Hapuna Estates Amenity Center, with a half-Olympic swimming pool, 130-foot waterslide, barbecue areas, and a fitness center. Guests may also purchase Registered Guest Access to the Hapuna Beach and Mauna Kea resorts — beach and pool privileges, fitness facilities, and preferred rates for golf and tennis. Two championship 18-hole courses await: the Hapuna Golf Course by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, and the famed Mauna Kea Golf Course by Robert Trent Jones Sr. Evenings can end at Manta, where a short walk to the shoreline sometimes reveals manta rays gliding in the water below.

Current rates take into consideration the construction next door.  There is a dust fence the entire length of the wall.   The wall is 8 feet tall and 18 inches thick of blue rock, so this is a very good sound barrier.  Guests staying here will not be able to see the house at all, and subs should be inside by mid-November.
